First Lesson If you have no driving experience your instructor will take you to a quiet place away from any distractions. During this time he/she will chat to you and find out what you may know about driving a motor vehicle. You may be surprised how much you actually do know. At the site and with the engine off, you will swap seats and your instructor will show you where all the main controls are and how to use them smoothly and correctly. You will then get the engine started. If there is time he/she will talk you through moving off and hopefully, stopping the car.
